Humanitarian Support
Meditor Trust has funded a series of projects implemented by partner Oxfam to support individuals displaced by conflict in Iraq.
Since the 2003 Gulf War Iraq has experienced a period of internal conflicts. As a result millions of citizens have been displaced from their homes. Such internally displaced people ("IDPs") often move with few possessions and can face a range of challenges including poor shelter, unavailability of clean water, inadequate sanitation facilities and lack of basic resources such as cooking equipment.
Meditor Trust has worked with Oxfam to design and implement a series of projects aimed at supporting some of the most vulnerable IDPs. The various projects include activities such as provision of water sanitation and hygiene ("WASH") facilities, shelter, cooking equipment and blankets.
